A bit about the film and its main character…
“Act Natural” ; What if the greatest living background actor wanted to become a real actor… ? Genre: Drama-Comedy

A stupidly terrible foreground actor catapulted into fame overnight as a brilliantly entertaining background actor. Since amassing a cult following for being the ‘greatest living background actor’, “Achilles” has found himself surrounded by agents, directors and romantic personnel who seek to profit off of his curse in perpetuity. When Chauncey “Achilles” Ackerman finally becomes determined to establish himself as the true actor none knew him to be, mischief ensues.

For an undetermined amount of time since rising into notoriety for his lackluster acting, Chauncey has unknowingly been trapped within his stage name “Achilles”. As long as he is referred to as “Achilles” his terrible habit of physical tensity, theater voice and camera fright activates whenever a camera is rolling nearby. It isn’t until Camila, the First AD on “Case Study No.2” refers to him by his real name, Chauncey – the first time in a long, long time – that his real potential manifests as the freakishly capable method actor he always was deep down inside.

“Act Natural” currently stands at 26 pages long with seven scenes, and is being produced by the Rowan University (Glassboro, NJ) film club, the ‘Cinema Workshop’. Principal photography will be taking place strictly on the 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th and 15th of February 2025.

A bit about the character we are looking to cast…
Director H. D. Primavera is self assured, eccentric, ignorant and incompetent – his productions are renowned for their record of accidents and HR disasters – he is beholden to the commands and schemings of the “Agent”. Primavera has most recently joined on to direct the sequel to a film series full of ludicrous writing and bombastic set pieces titled “Case Study”. It is on this set that he originally conspired with the “Agent” to sabotage “Achilles”, and in the process use the background actor’s cult following to shift even more attention to the “Agent’s” primary client Everett Levi.
